MOONSHINE
Each of these large-format photographs is a constructed scene based on a contemporary idea expressed in a traditional form, each one is realised from something different. Whether it is a modern derivative of a painting with a set narrative or even a play on an idea or profound notion. Open to interpretation, they can be looked at with any sort of eyes and are neither dwelling on the regretful nor celebrating the joyous. Each one is a ambiguous scenario photographed at various stages of unfolding. They are ideas that evolve in to a collage of metaphors and analogies, a story in pictures, a story with an open ending. Each one has its own roots, its own beat, is rich in symbolism and could be described as a crime scene with the evidence lying around.
